At BackerElite, we aim to provide clear and fair refund policies for all users, including both backers and project creators.
For Project Backers
Because BackerElite is a platform that connects backers with independent creators, all transactions are considered final unless:
- The project you supported was canceled before reaching its funding goal.
- The project creator fails to deliver the promised rewards and is found in violation of our Terms of Use after internal investigation.
- The project was fraudulent or violates legal regulations.
We do not process automatic refunds unless the above conditions are met. In other situations, we encourage you to contact the project creator directly.
Please note that BackerElite does not guarantee refunds on behalf of creators.
For Project Creators
If you wish to issue refunds to your backers, you are responsible for managing this process, including:
- Processing the payment through your payment provider (e.g., PayPal, Stripe)
- Notifying affected backers
- Updating your project page with refund-related information if necessary
Refunds issued voluntarily by creators do not affect BackerElite’s platform fees or transaction costs, which are non-refundable.
Disputes
If a dispute arises between backers and creators, BackerElite may assist in mediation, but we do not guarantee a resolution or refund.
Our role is to provide a safe platform, but we are not liable for fulfillment or compensation unless required by law.
